According to the Barren County Detention Center website, 31-year-old James Vickery was arrested by Kentucky State Police on fourth-degree domestic violence assault charges.
His court appearance is set for Jan. 23 at 12:30 p.m.
Vickery works at the Glasgow Police Department, Public Information Officer Terry Flatt confirmed.
“It is officer Vickery and he has been placed on suspension pending the investigation,” Flatt said.

The Kentucky State Police are conducting an investigation regarding a domestic violence situation involving a Glasgow Police Department Officer, according to Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt.
Glasgow officers responded to an address along Milton Avenue in response to a domestic violence call at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 18, Flatt wrote in an email.
“Upon arrival, the Glasgow Police Department requested the Kentucky State Police to conduct the investigation,” the email stated. “Pending the investigation, possible criminal charges could be brought against the officer.”
Flatt said the officer has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
