Glasgow High School’s academic team recently finished third at the Region 4 Governor’s Cup. Greenwood captured top honors and South Warren placed second.
In the Quick Recall event, Glasgow was second, with Greenwood finishing in first and South Warren in third, according to official event results on the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition website.
Glasgow’s Mary Kate Vance captured first place in Language Arts and second in Arts and Humanities.
The following Glasgow students also placed in individual events: Rudra Chaudhary, second place in Social Studies; Emma Jessee, third, Language Arts; William Vargas, third, Science; Danica Ingram, fourth, Arts and Humanities; Callaway Mackie, fourth, Composition; Diya Nair, fifth, Mathematics; and Kasan Peters, fifth, Language Arts.
Barren County’s Alana Houchens was fifth in Composition.
