In the room that once housed the library at South Green Elementary School and is now named the CO2 Board Room, the Glasgow Independent Schools Board of Education members will discuss the 2025-26 school calendar, and possibly new Career and Technical Education pathways during their March 10 meeting.

At the Feb. 10 meeting, the board members conducted the first reading on next year’s school calendar, which as previously reported has an Aug. 26 start date, and the calendar appears on tonight’s agenda for approval.

Another familiar item on the agenda is the “discussion and possible approval of additional [Career and Technical Education] pathways.” At the Feb. 10 board meeting, seven new pathways were approved that Glasgow High School Principal Joey Norman said would not require additional staff. However, the possibility of adding five more, which would require three new staff members, was discussed but no action — other than Barret Lessenberry’s motion to “pursue” them and get more information — was taken due to some uncertainties, primarily with the budget.

The full agenda can be viewed here.
