The Cave City City Council is set to convene for its regular session on Monday, March 10, at 5 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers. The agenda includes financial reports, updates on ongoing projects, and discussions on new business.
Among the financial matters, the council will review restaurant and transient room tax collections for February, with more than $76,000 slated for transfer to the Tourism Commission. A cash analysis for the month will also be presented, covering accounts for both the fire and police departments.
In unfinished business, the council will hear from Craig Thomas, President of RBS Design Group, regarding plans for the much anticipated Cave City branch of the Boys and Girls Club. Council members will also deliberate the development of an entertainment district for downtown. The city’s 2023-24 audit will also be discussed per the agenda.
New business includes discussions on mowing services at the I-65 interchange, which could impact city maintenance contracts or budget allocations.
