Clifton C. Redford Johnson,79, of the Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away on March 9, 2025, at the TJ Samson Community Hospital. He was born on January 25, 1946, in Glasgow to the late Jessie Johnson and the late Claudia Frances Harper Johnson. Clifton spent his career in construction as a carpenter remodeling barns and doing other construction work around the community.
Clifton was not just known for his work; he was cherished for the warmth and camaraderie he brought into the lives of those around him. He loved spending time with his family and friends, often retreating to the simple joys of life, which included scratching lottery tickets. His easy-going personality and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Clifton’s family includes his beloved son, Freddie Busey; brother, Cloyd Johnson (Wienell), and his great nephew, James Brandon Johnson, along with several nieces and nephews who will hold onto cherished memories of time spent together.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Roy Johnson, Henry Johnson, and Larry Johnson. In addition, his nephews, Steve Johnson and James Johnson, were also part of his extended family whom he missed dearly.
Clifton’s life will be honored on March 17, 2025, starting with a visitation from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at A.F Crow & Son Funeral Home, located at 201 East Washington St, Glasgow, KY. Following this, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, concluding with a burial at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
