Two people were injured after a two-vehicle collision on the outskirts of Glasgow.

On Friday, March 28, the Glasgow Police Department responded to the intersection of West Main Street — U.S. 68/Ky 80 — and the Veterans Outer Loop in reference to an injury collision where “a 2015 Nissan Rogue operated by Robin Dotson from Cave City was southbound on Veterans Outer Loop and was attempting to make a left turn onto West Main Street and pulled into the pathway of a 2019 Freightliner operated by Marquise Bates from Dallas, GA. who was traveling northbound on Veterans Outer Loop,” a Glasgow Police Department press release states.

After the collision the Freightliner “traveled off the right shoulder of the road, striking a fence and coming to rest in a field.”

Both Dotson and Bates were transported by Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Hospital for their injuries, according to the release.

The crash was investigated by Officer Mathew Rishkofski, assisted by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department.
