Gerald Randolph “Jerry” Hart, 86, of Bowling Green passed away May 23, 2025 at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born to the late Geraldine Holley Hard Reilly, the Atlanta, GA native was a recording artist, professional musician, entertainer and songwriter under the management of Lee Magid. He recorded under the names of Randy Hard, Randy Cajun Hart, Cajun Hart, The M-3’s and The Hi-Lites under the labels of ABC-Paramount, Warner Brothers, Brunswick and NRC. As a professional musician and entertainer, Jerry performed at many venues including The Merv Griffin Show, a year at the Flamingo-Vegas and a year with Don Ho in Hawaii. As a songwriter, most of his recordings were his own compositions, although he also recorded with Conway Twitty and Lou Rawls. He was also a successful real estate agent in the Million Dollar Club and later settled into medical transport, which he enjoyed due to the nature of helping others.
Jerry was a man of faith and a true gentleman. God blessed him with a beautiful voice for which he was most grateful. His friends and family will truly miss him.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Smiths Grove Cemetery. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are a daughter, Dana Evans of Waterloo, Australia; two grandchildren, Chloe Evans and Philip Evans of Waterloo; and his best friend and companion, Ann Curtis Byrn of Bowling Green.
