Patricia Ann (Rivers) Scearce

Mrs. Patricia Ann (Rivers) Scearce, age 70, of the Turkey Neck Bend Community of Monroe County, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family. Pat was born on September 9, 1954 in Orange Park, Florida, the oldest daughter of Eugene Washington and Peggy Louise (Farnam) Rivers. She and Robert moved to Kentucky in 1991, and made their home across the river on The Scearce Farm.  Pat retired as a bus driver from the Monroe County Board of Education. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could outdoors, in her flower beds, or on the mower, and girls trips to the beach.     

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Berger and fiancé, Scott Peterson of Lancaster, Kentucky, two grandsons, Zachery and Nicholas Berger of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; her siblings, Bobby Rivers of Green Cove Springs, Eugene Rivers of Tompkinsville, Jeanette Hall and Jeanine Rivers of Middleburg, Florida, Donna Ingram of Tompkinsville, Denise Moody and husband Philip, and Richard Rivers, of Green Cove Springs Florida. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family also survive. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Scearce, one son, Robert G. Scearce, II, and one brother, Michael Rivers. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.  Bro. Kenny Hardin will officiate the services. 

Visitation will be held after 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. 

Bartley & Sons Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Scearce and her family at this time.
