State electric siting board sets Barren County public comment session

There will be a public comment meeting next week concerning the Wood Duck Solar project.

The Kentucky State Board of Electric Generation and Transmission Siting Board will host the meeting in the Barren County Fiscal Court chambers on July 1 at 5 p.m. Anyone who would like to submit comments may do so at https://psc.ky.gov/Case/SearchCasesPublicComments, or via email to PSC.comment@ky.gov, or by mail to 211 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, KY 40602-0615. All comments should include the commenter’s name, address, and the case number.

The Wood Duck Solar project is a merchant solar generating facility and related transmission line to be located in western Barren County. The county fiscal court has passed an ordinance concerning the rules governing future solar farms, but the Wood Duck project was not affected.
