Chloe Witcher followed her season-opening solid performance with another outstanding round at The Pearl Club on Thursday. Witcher finished tied for fifth at Bowling Green Country Club on Monday. She shot 3-over 75 Thursday and finished tied for third.
Bowling Green’s Caroline Childers fired an even-par 72 to win the individual title. Elsie Espinola of South Warren tied with Witcher at third.
Barren County finished fifth as a team. Bowling Green, coached by former Barren County golfer Logan Steenbergen, won the team title at 23 over. Host Daviess County was second at 33 over.
Also for the Trojanettes, Lucy Zalla shot 82, while Allie Spillman and Rayleigh Tarry each posted 95 and Karden Kinslow finished with 97. Playing as individuals, Brenley Buchanan shot 113 and Kailynn Peterson fired 125.
Barren is back in action today at the Lady Bruin Invitational in Elizabethtown.
