A man has been arrested on several charges after a contentious traffic stop on East Cherry Street in Glasgow.
On July 30, Glasgow Police Officer Micah Janes stopped a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Michael House since he was “operating a vehicle with suspended operator’s license,” according to a Glasgow Police Department press release.
“Officers located Methamphetamine and a loaded syringe in House’s pants pocket,” the press release stated. “House resisted arrest, spitting on one officer and making threats to ‘kill you.'”
House is charged with:
- Driving On DUI Suspended License,
- Failure To Or Improper Signal,
- Failure Of Owner To Maintain Insurance,
- Failure To Produce Insurance Card,
- No Registration Receipt,
- Resisting Arrest,
- Third-degree Assault-Bodily Fluid,
- Third-degree Assault on a Police Or Probation Officer,
- First-degree Possession Control Substance (Methamphetamine),
- Possession Drug Paraphernalia,
- Terroristic Threatening,
- Wanton Endangerment-Police Officer,
- Second offense of Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence Alcohol
House has a $25,000 cash bond, according to the Barren County Detention Center. In district court Judge Gabe Pendleton set his preliminary hearing for Aug. 4 at 12:30 p.m.
