A man that was arrested last year in Glasgow is now facing federal drug charges.

Donnie Ray Boyd, 68, was arrested by Glasgow police in November 2024 on eight charges, including first-degree, first offense trafficking in methamphetamine. He was released from the jail on Nov. 18, 2024, according to the jail website.

On Aug. 13, 2025, after his case was unsealed in the Western District of Kentucky, Boyd was federally indicted on four counts of distributing methamphetamine. At his Aug. 22 initial appearance, Boyd pleaded not guilty to the charges and further proceedings were scheduled for Sept. 11.

He is lodged in the Warren County Detention Center as a federal prisoner. He will remain in custody pending a detention hearing, which was originally scheduled for Aug. 27 but was continued until further notice, according to the court documents.
