Welch Packaging Group has completed its forty-first acquisition with the announcement that the Elkhart, Indiana, packaging company is merging with Elite Packaging of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Welch Packaging entered the Glasgow and Barren County communities in 2023 with its acquisition of AtCorr and again in February 2025 with its acquisition of SOKY Pack and Pallet. Recently, the company was awarded an expansion award during the Industry Impact Banquet on Sept. 25.

This forty-first acquisition also coincided with the family-owned business’s anniversary year.

“Our goal has always been to provide an umbrella for family businesses who may not have strong succession plans, growth resources, or exit strategies,”  said Scott Welch, president and chief executive officer of Welch Packaging. “These companies typically have deep ties to their associates, customers, and communities. We want these businesses to see Welch Packaging as a lifeline—an opportunity to protect their legacy while continuing to grow.”

Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed in Welch Packaging’s press release.
