Several area students were recently named to the Kentucky American Choral Directors Association all-state choirs.
The following students were selected for the Children’s Honor Choir:
From Glasgow Middle School: Abbey Bruce, Quinton Konkle, Tucker LoBue and Lakelan Pate.
From Highland Elementary: Rylee Lynch and Kendall Hunt.
From Red Cross Elementary: Olivia Pedigo.
From South Green Elementary: Claudia Crain and Aunja Zipf.
The following area students were selected for the Junior High Honor’s Choir:
From Barren County High School: Rayli South and Sawyer Mosby.
From Glasgow High School: Emaline Pike and Brooks Nadile.
From Barren County Middle: Aubrey Pate, Adahlee Estes, Aubrey Blythe, Kenzie LeRoy, Claire Woodie, Karena Gschwend, Mady Taylor, Avery Reynolds, Caylon Bor, Lane Smith, Judd Seeley and Micah Lucas.
These selected singers will travel to Centre College in Danville on Nov. 7-8 for the Fall Honor Choir event. Students will rehearse with their respective choirs and directors and then perform at the Norton Center for the Arts.
