A Glasgow man has been arrested by a Barren County sheriff’s deputy for allegedly stealing a tractor and side-by-side.
The arrest stems from a theft that occurred on Oct. 16 on Harry King Road where surveillance video allegedly showed Alex Chase, 52, of Glasgow, entering the property around 6 a.m. and taking a tractor, according to a uniform citation. An hour later he returned and took a side-by-side, leaving through the rear of the property, the citation stated.
“Deputies arrived in the area near where [Chase] was stated to be residing [and found] the tractor in view in the fence line,” the citation stated. “The side-by-side was not found in the area.”
When questioned, Chase “denied having any knowledge or involvement in the theft,” the citation reads.
He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center with a court date set for Oct. 27. He has a $25,000 cash bond.
