A Glasgow man is charged with first-degree manslaughter after an altercation in Bowling Green on Oct. 18.
Jarred Brown, 25, of Glasgow, was arrested by Bowling Green police on initial charges of second-degree assault and alcohol intoxication in a public place (first and second offense) when officers responded to 90 Millas Cuban Bar and Restaurant and found 32-year-old Anthony Santiago, also from Glasgow, on the ground “experiencing seizures,” according to Bowling Green police.
Santiago was flown to Nashville and subsequently died. After learning of the death, police charged Brown with first-degree manslaughter as well.
Brown told officers at the time that he slammed Santiago to the ground after Santiago allegedly punched him in the head, according to outside reporting.
Brown is lodged in the Warren County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 24 at 9 a.m., according to the detention center’s website.
