Defensive players led the way for Barren County on the All-Sky Conference postseason teams.
Linebacker Corbin Wells led the Trojans with 106 total tackles. He also registered two sacks and six tackles for loss. Defensive back Jaxson Byrd led the team with seven interceptions. He also registered 35 tackles and six tackles for loss. They were both named to the defensive first team.
On offense, Byrd posted 370 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Wells rushed for 558 yards and four scores.
Defensive lineman Kataviun Fryar, linebackers Steele Whitaker and Braxton Carnes, and defensive back Briggs Harris were named to the defensive second team.
Carnes is second on the team in total tackles with 97, while Fryar is third with 64.
Offensive line Greyson Billingsley was named to the all-conference offensive first team. Running back Daylan Thomas and lineman Ethan Bertram were named to the second team.
Thomas led the Trojans in rushing with 559 yards on the ground.
Barren County opens the playoffs at Owensboro Apollo on Friday at 7 p.m.
