Charles Ray “Charlie” Hayes, 64, of Sunfish passed away peacefully with family at his side November 12, 2025 at his residence.
The Edmonson County native was owner and operator of Hayes Tire for 31 years and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
He was a son of the late Warren Hayes and Mildred Irene Durbin Hayes. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Mull.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheri Mills (James Bowles) of Sunfish; a son Keith Joiner of Sunfish; four brothers, Paul Hayes of Bowling Green, Jimmy Hayes and Kenny Hayes both of Sunfish and Fred Hayes of Cincinnati; five sisters, Sue Kalbfleisch and Cathy Joiner both of Roundhill, Evelyn Carroll and Joan Hayes both of Bowling Green and Helen Dorgan of Windyville; six grandchildren, Caden Mills, Jackson Mills, Katlyn Joiner, Bryson Lee, Liberty Flener and Addison Joiner; four great grandchildren, Lincoln Sanders, Walker Shepherd, Mason Lee and Hallie Lee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services are scheduled. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
