A teenager has been arrested in connection with a double murder that occurred in Allen County Wednesday night.
Following an investigation, and multiple interviews, state police charged a 17-year-old with two counts of murder, tampering with physical evidence, theft of an automobile by unlawful taking and first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, according to a Kentucky State Police press release.
The charges stem from a death investigation conducted by the state police during the night of Feb. 18 that found a 12-year-old male juvenile and 42-year-old Traci Trasky dead in a house at 334 Stamps Road, which is approximately 4 miles south of the Barren-Allen county line.
Police also learned that Trasky’s vehicle was missing from the residence. A short time later, troopers found the vehicle was unoccupied on Pleasant Field Church Road in southern Allen County. With assistance from Allen County Sheriff’s deputies, Scottsville police officers and a drone, they spotted a person running through a nearby wooded area, according to state police.
After a brief foot pursuit through the woods, a 17-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody without incident, according to state police.
The investigation into the double homicide is ongoing.
