Jerry Bransford will present “The Slave Guides of Mammoth Cave” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center.
Bransford’s family has a long history with the local national park. He recently told WCLU Radio that when he was growing up in Glasgow, his father would talk about their family history. Bransford said these family stories truly made an impact on his own life as he became a Mammoth Cave park ranger and tour guide.
Thursday’s event, hosted by the Barren County Historical Society, is free to the public.
