Tuesday morning’s Barren County Fiscal Court meeting is canceled, according to Barren County Fiscal Court Clerk Shanda Bradley. No reason for the cancellation was given in the notice of cancellation.
The fiscal court was to take up a public library audit and a major road invoice. The meeting is the shorter of the two each month because it focuses on paying invoices and other business.
Magistrates were scheduled to acknowledge receipt of the audit for the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The library serves Barren County residents as the public library system. Campbell, Myer and Rutledge performed the audit.
They were also expected to consider a $691,500 invoice from Bluegrass and Associates for work on Ritters Mill Road. As previously reported by Glasgow News 1, a portion of Ritters Mill Road was closed due to damage sustained during severe weather. The subsequent repairs were funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The next regular fiscal court meeting is listed for March 17, 2026.
