UCW Super Show 26 is set to bring a full night of pro wrestling and fundraising to Caverna High School. The annual show is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, at Caverna High in Horse Cave.
The event is a long-running partnership between the school and Ultimate Championship Wrestling that helps cover the growing costs of maintaining high school sports, Caverna High School Principal Frank Beauchamp said during an interview on WCLU. He said proceeds from the show go toward the Caverna athletic department, which supports teams with equipment, supplies and travel expenses.
This year’s card is billed as UCW Super Show 26, reflecting what Beauchamp said is the 26th time the event has been at Caverna. Bell time for the main show is 6:30 p.m., but fans can arrive early for a 4:30 p.m. meet-and-greet with the wrestlers. Beauchamp said doors are expected to open about an hour before the meet-and-greet and noted that there is an additional cost to participate in autograph and photo opportunities.
Hillbilly Jim, a popular wrestling figure from the 1980s and 1990s, is scheduled to be the featured guest. Beauchamp also listed a lineup that includes Brandon Wolfe, Charles Colton, Superfly Johnny Lee, Andrew Watkins, Calamity Jane, Lakeisha Oliver, Nick Eugene, Moose and the Godwins.
Memorabilia will be sold. Ticket prices vary by location and purchase time. Beauchamp said third-, fourth- and fifth-row floor seats on the gym floor are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. General admission seats in the bleachers are $10 in advance and $13 at the door. Tickets are available at the school through the front office, and Beauchamp said a flyer with a QR code is also posted on the Caverna High School Facebook page for those who prefer to buy digitally.
Beauchamp added that past UCW events at Caverna have drawn large crowds and created a lively, family-friendly atmosphere in the smaller gym setting. The show has been held annually since around 2000 and continues to be one of the key fundraisers for Caverna athletics.
