The steady drizzle of rain Sunday afternoon did not stop patrons, friends, family and community members from making their way to the grand opening of the Cave City location of The Peoples Bank next to the Cave Area Conference Center. Shuttle busses took attendants from the parking lot of the conference center to the facility, where President Terry Bunnell eagerly greeted them, and discussed the construction of the new bank.
“We broke ground on Jan. 25, 2022, and started construction in April of 2022,” Bunnell said.
The 3000 square foot facility offers two drive thru windows, an ATM and three teller stations.
“I’m very excited to see this come to fruition,” he said.
Attendants were greeted with refreshments, and a video montage in the conference room that showcased photos of the year-and-half long construction of the bank.
