Glasgow News 1

Updated 9:44 a.m. — According to the uniform citation, officers responded to Adam’s Place apartments after multiple calls of people hearing gunfire. Joseph Keys lived in the “above address.” After reviewing security footage at the apartments showed that Keys “was seen…holding his arms in a manner consistent with someone firing a handgun.”

At roughly 12:59 p.m. GPD conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Keys was the passenger. The officers removed him from the vehicle when they found a brown handgun under the driver’s seat and 9 mm ammunition. Both the handgun and the ammunition seemed to be consistent with advice the officers received that Keys had a brown handgun the night before.

He was arrested at 1:10 p.m. on Columbia Avenue, according to the citation.

According to another citation, at 2:59 p.m. GPD confirmed, from the Indianapolis Metro Police Department, that Keys had an “active Indiana extradition warrant” for a ongoing investigation “that occurred in that jurisdiction.” The police department confirmed it was listed as robbery.
