Joseph Litera Jr.
Joseph Litera Jr., 78, of Glasgow died suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Indiana, he was the son of the late Joseph Litera Sr. and Mary Berkowicz. He was a Catholic by faith; an accountant and prosthetist; and a U.S. Marine having served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Gayle Pieters Litera; one son, Joseph Litera III; two grandsons, Joseph Davis Litera IV and Fletcher Litera; and a sister-in-law, Rayne Litera of Alaska.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Litera.
Funeral mass is at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy are requested to St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20 in Glasgow or South Central Kentucky Cultural Center.
