The T.J. Community Mission Foundation is pleased to announce a new capital project, Samsonville Square.

Samsonville Square will be an approximately 3200 square feet “REAL Therapy” simulation clinical space located at the T.J. Rehabilitation Services clinic at the T.J. Health Pavilion in Glasgow, KY. “REAL Therapy” is an acronym for Realistic Environment Applied Learning and is a community simulation environment of ready-made functional therapy tasks available for patients and clinicians from the moment they enter the room.

Clinical rehab facilities such as this are incredibly unique, especially in the outpatient setting, and will allow our staff to provide a second to none rehabilitation and therapy experience.

Samsonville Square will feature 12 real world simulation modules such as a fully functioning kitchen, grocery store, and virtual reality car simulator, among other things.

Each year the T.J. Rehabilitation Services program cares for over 25,000 patient encounters. Clinicians from all three rehab specialty lines will utilize the space; physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The Rehabilitation Services staff will be able to use Samsonville Square with all of our patients from pediatrics through our oldest patients.

The campaign to build Samsonville Square will raise $750,000 and looks to engage families, businesses, and organizations throughout southcentral Kentucky through donations of any amount in the effort to provide this life changing facility for our region.

Randy Burns, Executive Director of the T.J. Community Mission Foundation shared, “This project is the perfect second project in the history of the Foundation. Our first project, Shanti Niketan Hospice Home, has been such a blessing for our community in its work to provide second to none end of life care to families in this region. With Samsonville Square, we will be able to impact the lives of thousands of patients each year of ALL ages, facing a litany of challenges. It truly is going to be a beautiful addition to the services provided by T.J. Regional Health and the board of directors of the T.J. Community Mission Foundation are thrilled to be a part of making it a reality. We look forward to having many conversations with supporters in the region in the coming months!”

Shara Page, Director of Home Care and Rehabilitation Services at T.J. Regional Health stated, “This project is bringing dreams to reality. It has been a 20+ year goal to bring an inpatient therapy setting to the outpatient world. There is nothing like this in the region or even the state. This project is going to be provide an incredible environment for patients of all ages.”
