Charlotte Elmore

Charlotte Elaine Elmore, 83, of Glasgow died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born Feb, 2, 1940, in Glasgow to the late Lester Jones and Mildred Cooksey Jones. Charlotte was a bookkeeper for Elmore Body Shop and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Clifton Elmore; one daughter, LaDonna Claywell (Sam); four grandchildren, Chris Shelton (Jeanette), Cody Shelton, Kimberly Dobbs and Jordan Saltsman (Amanda); six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dan Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, TaVonna Elmore.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues Saturday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

Sarah Joyce Norman, 89, of Glasgow died Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at Barren County Health & Rehab Center. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Boyd and Gladys Thomerson Smith.
Sarah was formerly a credit manager at Kentucky Finance before becoming employed at Heilig-Myers Furniture and later the Barren Circuit Court Clerk’s Office. She was one who devoted her time to her family, loved decorating her home and tending her flowers and other yard work, and baking for other people. She was a member of Glenview Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Norman Blanton and her husband Jeff, and Jenny Lu Shireman and her husband Chad, all of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Benji Shireman, Chloe Shireman and Jessica Page and her husband Kyle; two great-grandchildren, Carlee and Embree Page; and several nieces and nephews, including Judy Denton, David Pirtle, Gary Thomas, Kelly Smith, Rebecca Webster and Steve Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Wendell Norman; three sisters, Daphna Ford, Genave Steenbergen and Dorothy Thomas; one brother, Charles Bryant Smith; a niece, Joy Steenbergen; and a nephew, Troy Smith.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Kenneth Whitworth
Kenneth Whitworth, 88, of Horse Cave died Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a native of Breckinridge County, born July 20, 1935, and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by two daughters, Belinda McGaha (Billy) and Lisa Reynolds (James); eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Edward Ray Whitworth.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine “Gerri” Whitworth; his parents, Edward Franklin Whitworth and Audrey Pearl Whitworth; one daughter, Kim Dahl.
Funeral service is at noon Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Bethel Cemetery in Irvington. Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Winn Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

‘Ron’ Wilson

Ronald “Ron” Eugene Wilson, 70, of Glasgow died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1953, in Platteville, Wisconsin, to the late Arnold Wilson and Joan Tindell Wilson. Ron retired as a car salesman from Gillie Hyde. In his free time, he loved playing cards, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his dogs, Missy and Mattie. But what Ron loved most of all was spending time with his precious grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving fiancée, Tammy McKenzie; four daughters, Melissa Jones, Mary Kifer (Jeff), Sarah Scott (Starr) and Amanda Arms; two sons, Brandon Wilson (Courtney) and Chris Wilson (Lindi); 17 grandchildren, Sammi, Veronica, and Jessica Jones, Devon, MaKenzi, Jake and Taylor Wilson, Madison Ahmann, Shauna Kifer, Haley Holzer, Tyson Kifer, Eve Jackson, Rendy Tarry, Addie Tarry, Chanz Wrather, Shayla Kingrey and Payton Pitcock; several great-grandchildren; and one brother, Rich Wilson (Gina).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Randy Wilson.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with a private family graveside service to follow at Neal’s Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral expenses.
