Emma Carter
Emma Jean Carter, 91, of Glasgow died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at her residence. She was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Tompkinsville to the late Merritt Harlan and the late Dorthy Mary (Jones) Harlan.
Survivors include her loving sons, Roger Carter of Glasgow and Larry Carter (Karen) of Park City; her daughter-in-law, Renee Carter of Sturgis; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 75 years, Julius Carter; her son, David Carter; her grandson, Clinton Carter Cook; great-grandson, Aiden McGee; two brothers, Hugh and Richard Harlan; and one sister, Wilma Williams.
Celebration of life ceremony is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Emma’s family has honored her wishes of cremation.
