Phillip Bush
Phillip Byron Bush, 79, of Glasgow died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. A native of Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Ted and Elizabeth Simmons Bush. He was a longtime farmer and automobile dealer, owning Country Auto Sales in Glasgow.
Survivors include one son, Daron Bush and wife Stacy; one daughter, Dedra Bush; two grandchildren, Jescony Bush (Kenitha) and Jalynn Bush; three great-grandchildren, Jazaylee, Jakinlee and Jazeke Bush; one sister, Judy Veach (Kelly); two nieces, Vanessa Veach and Chasity Lowery (Charlie).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jakobe Bush.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Willie Henry Emerson, 87, of Smiths Grove died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Barren County to the late Omer and Louise Fisher Emerson on Nov. 20, 1936. Willie was married to the late Mary Ann Emerson.
Willie was a carpenter, farmer and bus driver for Barren County Schools, and he worked at Houchens grocery. He was a member of New Beginnings Church.
He leaves to honor his memory his sons, Henry Douglas Emerson (Jean Ann) and Willard Joe Emerson (Tina) of Smiths Grove; grandchildren, Chris Emerson (Autumn), Dustin Emerson, Ashley Emerson and Amanda Thomas (Curtis); 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Ann Cooke; sister-in-law, Joanna Nuckols (Steve) and brother-in-law, Jimmy Morgan.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel, with interment in Merry Oaks Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Imogene Klaber, 87, of Glasgow died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Shanti Niketan Hospice Home, with her family by her side. The Clinton County, Indiana, native was born July 10, 1936, to the late Hobert James and Bessie Elizabeth Satterfield Hankins. She was married to the late William Klaber, and they spent many years together in Frenchburg.
Imogene was a homemaker and a member of Rolling Hills United Baptist Church.
She leaves to honor her memory her children, Randy Dean Crumpton (Belinda) of Summer Shade, Kathy Jean Minor (Gary) of Cave City and Sheryl Lynn Crumpton (Rosa) of Flagler Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Leslie Morris (Josh), Lindsey Stephens (Troy), Nicholas Kidd (April) and Cade Ray; great-grandchildren, Maddee Stephens, Jax Stephens, Marlee Stephens, Knox Stephens and Lane Morris; and a brother, Jerry Ray Hankins (Glenda). Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Gene Crumpton; siblings, Jim, Betty Jo, Sue, Max, Evelyn, Bobby and her twin brother, Eugene.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at Patton Funeral Home Cave City Chapel, with interment in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family has requested donations of blood in her memory through American Red Cross.

Bessie Evelyn Martin, 89, of Glasgow died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at her residence. Born Jan. 18, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Everrett Nantz and Virgie Mae Ferguson Nantz. She retired as a waitress from Kentucky Restaurant.
She is survived by her children, Betty Bailey and Richard “Ricky” Martin (Ann); four grandchildren, Stacy Martin, Chad Martin (Ginna), Christy Wall and Lacey Bailey; nine great-grandchildren, Nissa Gossett, Dessi Austin Jr., Shelby Jenkins, Tristan Martin, Austin Martin, Dalton Bryant, Kayle Rhinehart, Ava Wall and Ellie Wall; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Nantz (Lisa); special friend, Gene Cahill; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete Nantz, Arnold Nantz and Bill Nantz.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
