Jake William R. Maupin, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Jake was a lifelong resident of Glasgow. He was born Sept. 21, 1938, to the late Mary and Johney Maupin. He worked 32 years for the Glasgow Fire Department, where he served as captain. He was also the founder of Maupin’s Locksmith Service.
Survivors include his children, Audrey Pedigo (Ricky), Stacy (Darla) and Tommy (Susie); grandchildren, Brandon Maupin, John Pedigo, Shane Pedigo, Raena Yeager, Trevor Maupin and Taylor Davis; and many great-grandchildren.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosia Maupin; and two brothers.
Funeral service is at noon Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
