Nominations are now open for the 2024 Achievement in Business Awards, which aims to recognize “someone or a business that embodies excellence” throughout Barren County.
There are five awards up for nominations, according to Barren Inc.’s social media post, including small business person of the year, the Magnolia Award — which Erin Hiles, director of Programs and Events, said is aimed toward a female community leader — small business of the year, farmer of the year and administrative professional of the year.
“Take a moment and nominate your favorite small businesses, remarkable small business leaders, and community champions,” the post states. “Let’s celebrate their dedication and achievements together!”
The Magnolia Award recipient and the small business person of the year will serve as the keynote speakers at Barren Inc.’s Achievement in Business luncheon, which is an annual event that “celebrat[es] the Glasgow and Barren County business community” that takes place on May 7 at 11 a.m. at the Parkview Event Center.
There will also be a Achievement in Business news conference on April 9 at the WKU Glasgow campus.
The nomination form can be accessed by clicking here. The deadline for nominations is March 8.
“Don’t miss this opportunity to give them the recognition they truly deserve,” the post states. “Nominate today!”
