PRESS RELEASE
Glasgow News 1
In an exhilarating leap towards fostering creativity, I [Mallie Boston, CEO of the Glasgow-Barren County Boys and Girls Club] am thrilled to announce the opening day of our new Craft Innovation Campus. We will open our doors to the first home of our own on Monday, Feb. 26.
The new facility is equipped with a teen center, music recording studio, E-sports lounge, art center, science and technology lad, culinary learning kitchen, tutoring space and much more.
Our focus within the new campus is to provide a space for current and new members to have the resources to ignite their passions, develop skills for the workforce and provide the tools to build a greater future.
The next phase of the campus expansion includes a gymnasium, community garden and an outdoor recreation space.
Although this space will allow for more opportunities, programs and youth to be served, our cost will continue to be $45 a year for membership. Club hours will remain 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We are confident that this is only the first step of many that our movement will take to advance opportunities for children within Glasgow-Barren County. A very special thank you to First United Methodist Church and Extreme Gymnastics for providing a space for our youth through these renovations.
