Michael Alton Bruton, 50, of Glasgow died Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his residence. He was the son of Donald Alton Bruton and his wife Beverly and Sarah Porter Clark Bruton. He was an antiques dealer and a caregiver for his mother.
Besides his parents, he is survived by five children, Dakota Bunch, Destiny Jackson and her husband Ethan, Clayton Hardin, Malachi Bruton and Lexie Bruton; one sister, Teresa Maddox and her husband Steve; two nephews, John Carter Jr. and Jacob Carter and his wife Sara; one great-niece, Ava Carter; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hayden Thomas Clark and Ollie Belle Clark; and paternal grandparents, James Elbert Bruton and Lennie Garrett Bruton.
The family chose cremation with no services scheduled. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Johnny Douglas Groce, 79, of Louisville died Friday, March 8, 2024, at Baptist Hospital East after a brief illness.
He was born in Glasgow in 1944 to the late Raymond “Jack” and Wilma Bryant Groce. Doug was a graduate of Glasgow High School (Class of 1962) and Western Kentucky University and attended Lexington Theological Seminary.
Doug lived much of his adult life in Louisville and was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Disability Determinations Services.
He is survived by his brother, Jacob Ayers of Louisville, several cousins and even more friends.
At Doug’s request a private burial in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville took place, and a gathering of family and friends in Glasgow may be scheduled later.
Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Louisville is in charge of the arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
