The victim found deceased in a residence on Lee Fendell Road has been identified as 55-year-old Robert Fields of Glasgow.

On Thursday, March 28, an unnamed male was found dead in a residence on Lee Fendell Road in Barren County.
At approximately 11:21 p.m., the Barren County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Lee Fendell Road in reference to an unresponsive male.
After arriving, deputies located a deceased male in a bedroom who had endured several stab wounds.
Though the subject charged with murder attempted to flee the area, authorities located and arrested 26-year-old Dedontae Morrison of Glasgow.
Morrison later told detectives that he had entered the deceased male’s bedroom and stabbed him while the victim was in the bed. Morrison did not provide an explanation of why he stabbed the male subject.
He was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
He was lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
