A Barren County grand jury has indicted 26-year-old Dedontae Morrison of Glasgow on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Morrison was initially arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on Mar. 28 after allegedly stabbing 55-year-old Robert Fields in his residence on Lee Fendell Road.
In a 46-page list of indictments stamped April 17 and released on April 22, Morrison was “charged” by a grand jury for “intentionally caused the death of Robert Fields” and tampering with physical evidence when “he destroyed, concealed, removed, or altered physical evidence which he believed was about to be produced or used in the official proceedings.”
According to the indictment and the jail website, Morrison’s bail is set at a $500,000 cash bond. The Kentucky Court of Justice website does not yet list when Morrison’s next court appearance will be.

Also in the list is Kevin Abner, 59, of Glasgow on first and second degree assault. Abner was arrested on March 17 by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly fired two shotgun rounds on Park City-Glasgow Road that hit Shane Wheat and Anthony Wheat, both of whom were flown out for their injuries following the shooting.
According to the jail website his bond is set at $50,000 cash. Like Morrison his next court appearance has yet to be set.
