Steven “Onion” Burnett

Steven “Onion” Burnett, 67, of Cave City died Thursday, May 9, 2024, at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1956. He worked as a mechanic for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather and neighbor. “Onion” was known for making everyone laugh and was willing to do anything for anyone.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Burnett (Chad); his son, Jeffrey Burnett (Amanda); three granddaughters, Alaysha “Boo” Burnett, Stacia “Mousie” Burnett and Daisy Lee Burnett; stepfather, Loron Sturgeon; brother, Rickie Burnette (Becky); sister, Scharity Rutherford (Brian).
He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Lee Burnett; his parents, Clyde Burnett and Joeatta Helen Sturgeon; and twin sons, Dale Burnett and Darl Burnett.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Park City. Visitation began Sunday and continues from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Jacob Paul Gronowski, 27, of Horse Cave died Friday, May 10, 2024, at his home. He was a native of Hart County, born Oct. 8, 1996, and a 2015 graduate of Caverna High School. He loved fishing with his father and nephew. Jacob enjoyed being with his friends and always lit up every room he entered. He never met a stranger and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his mother and father, Tina and Paul Gronowski; three siblings, Kyle Richardson, Dawn McCullough (Nathan) and Emily Gronowski (Michael); nieces, Kinley McCullough, Miley Browning and Grace McCullough; nephew, Waylon McCullough; his maternal grandfather, Teddy Church; and paternal grandmother, Christine Gronowski.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Norma Church, and his paternal grandfather, Donald Gronowski.
Cremation was chosen by Jacob’s family. A memorial service is to be at Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery later.
Winn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Barry Lance Watson, 66, of Glasgow died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, May 11, 2024, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. He was born Jan. 21, 1958, in Louisville to the late Travis Watson and late Ruby (Button) Watson. Barry was a retired salesman from Gillie Hyde and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his loving wife, Teresa (Harlow) Watson; son, Brian Watson (Jen); daughter, Kasey Jo Watson; grandchildren, Makayla Butler, Chase Watson, Jordyn Watson, Tyler Watson and Matthew Watson; great-grandchildren, Carolynn Hendricksen and Bray Hendricksen; sister, Rita Higdon; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal dogs, Petey and Boo.
The family offers sincere gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Southern Kentucky for their hospitality to their family and the care they provided to Barry during this difficult time.
Graveside service was Sunday at Bristletown Cemetery. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
