Elizabeth Cary

Elizabeth Cary, 102, died Saturday, May 11, 2024, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. The daughter of the late Warner Milburn Mayfield and the late Grace A. (Smith) Mayfield, she was born in Glasgow on June 2, 1921. She retired from Citizens Bank after 33 years and was a member of Browders Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by two nieces, Libby Garner (Jim) and Peggy Higgason (Darrell); and one great-nephew, Roy Higgason.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Cary; one son, Roy Clifton Cary Jr; one sister, Charlotte Denning; and brother-in-law, James Denning.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the form of Gideon Bibles.

 

 

Lee Ann Gillentine
Lee Ann Gillentine, 76, of Glasgow, died Sunday May 12, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a daughter of the late Wash and Maude Anderson Conatser.
Survivors include her loving husband, James Gillentine; daughter, Lisa Laureigh (Tim); two sons, Jim Gillentine and David Gillentine (Teresa); three grandchildren, Ashley Barvo (Ferrer), Riley Laureigh and Jerry Ward; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Alene Hurt, Betty Jean Portor, Bonnie Gordon and Jessie Mae.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Barlow Conatser and Sid Conatser; and sister, Bethany Reed.
The family granted Lee Ann’s wish to be cremated. No services are being scheduled at this time. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

“Tony” Robinson

Anthony “Tony” Glenn ”Bear” Robinson, 59, of Glasgow died Friday, May 10, 2024, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital with his loving wife and best friend, Kathleen (Kitty/Kat) Robinson, holding his hand at his bedside. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on June 25, 1964, to Dwight Robinson and the late Joyce (Hodges) Robinson.
Tony began in heavy haul and moved into boat hauling, where he spent his time specializing in long haul “super loads” until he retired after more than 30 years. He was well-loved and respected by the people in his industry.
He is also survived by his two daughters and five grandchildren.
Kitty/Kat will be honoring his final wishes with cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
