Demolition of the West Main property began on the afternoon of June 25. The planned demolition closed one lane of that section of West Main Street today and will close both lanes of that section in the afternoon of June 26 and 27. The West Main property was donated to the city earlier this year by councilmember Patrick Gaunce. The city of Glasgow accepted the donation with the intent of demolishing the building and repairing the wall behind it, which, according to the city, is in need of it. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1.
