Richard Arthur Mutter, 86, of Glasgow, died Thursday, June 27, 2024 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born March 22, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late William Casper Mutter and Elizabeth Vopat Mutter. Richard retired from IBM as a manager. He was a member of the Freemasons and Shrines. Richard was an avid stock trader and was a great storyteller.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Claire Wayner Mutter, two sons, William Mutter, Richard Allen Mutter, two daughters, Deborah Mutter Shamley (Kirk), Laura Brusett, and four grandchildren, Amanda, Nikita, Richard, and Jonah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Adrienne Paloma.
The funeral service for Mr. Mutter will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
