William “Rusty” Russell Wade, 65, of Glasgow died Sunday, July 7 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born September 2, 1958 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late Billy Eugene Wade, Sr. and Gloria Dean Cape Wade, who survives.
Rusty was very multi-talented and had numerous occupations in his lifetime. He was a mechanic, welder, construction worker, and retired from truck driving. Rusty loved vacationing in the Smoky Mountains with his wife, Velina. He also loved fishing, hunting, gardening vegetables and flowers, painting canvases, and taking care of his lawn. Rusty was of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of almost 46 years, Velina Wade, two children, Tony Wade (Feleica) and Serena Carver (Andy), five grandchildren, Makayla Vincent, Dakodah Wade, Cole Carver, Mika Wade, Trace Wade, one great grandchild, Arabella Rose; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Eugene Wade, Jr.
The funeral service for Mr. Wade will be 3 p.m Wednesday, July 10 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until time for the service at the funeral home. Please share your condolences with the family at www.afcrowfh.com.
