Around 10 p.m. Oct. 27 the Glasgow Fire Department responded to a call at the 100 block of Bob White Way, a subdivision off Cleveland Avenue and Childress Road, in response to a “structure fire.”
Firefighters on scene reported heavy smoke and there were one person still inside, which was removed and transferred to the care of Barren-Metcalfe EMS. Fire Chief Lucas Tinsley said the individual was taken to T.J. Samson Hospital and eventually flown elsewhere — he did not have the specifics readily available.
One firefighter also received “moderate injuries” and was treated at T.J. Samson Hospital.
Fire department personnel remained on scene until 11:45 p.m. According to the press release, the cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
South Green Street Church of Christ assisted with family displacement.
