There was a table in the middle of the gymnasium with place settings for each branch of the military. Its chairs empty. The Barren County JROTC also spearheaded the “missing man” table ceremony.

Jeffery S. Hughes served as the speaker for the dinner on Nov. 9. Hughes retired with 26 years of experience with the United States Army as an active guard reserve member of the Kentucky Army National Guard. He speech covered a variety of topics including listening to veterans stories and learning from them. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1.
