The Glasgow Independent Schools Board of Education will meet Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Glasgow High School. They will, among other agenda items, swear-in a new board member and formally accept TVA’s grants.

Garnett Bale was elected to the school board during this past general election, and, according to the Kentucky Secretary of State’s website, received 2,282 votes — a large portion of which came from Glasgow’s fourth precinct. In conjunction with Bale’s swearing-in, there is also a recognition of outgoing board member Amelia Kiser, who is currently the board chair and did not seek reelection.

The board members are also set to formally accept the two STEM grants provided by the Tennessee Valley Authority. South Green Elementary and Glasgow Middle School both received $5,000.

The full agenda can be viewed here.
