Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt confirmed the individual arrested on Dec. 27 was 23-year-old Tyshawn Lorm.
On Dec. 27 officers with the Glasgow Police Department responded to a possible domestic violence disturbance at 307 N. Green Street, according to the department’s press release. According to the uniform citation, officers spoke with Lorm’s girlfriend, who alleged he had hit her and that he prevented her from leaving the house at times by “putting her in a choke hold and using his hands to choke her.”
Lorm was found in a shed behind the house and fled on foot. After pursuing him, officers apprehended Lorm in the “parking lot of the North Race Street laundromat.” Officers conducted a search of the shed where Lorm had fled from and located a Glock 9MM handgun. A search of the residence revealed a quantity of Methamphetamine and Marijuana, the release states.
Lorm had active warrants in Barren County and Fulton County, Georgia, which confirmed “full extradition.”
Tyshawn Lorm of Glasgow was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, first-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree, first offense possession of Methamphetamine, possession drug paraphernalia, possession of handgun by convicted felon. He was also served with outstanding warrants.
His court appearance is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 2.

One male subject has been arrested after a foot pursuit on North Green Street, according to Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt.
Flatt said the investigation is ongoing and provided no further information.
