The Glasgow Electric Plant Board announced that a planned broadband outage is scheduled for Jan. 23 for some customers southwest of Glasgow.
According to the public utility company, the outage will occur in the area of Beaver Creek Boat Ramp Road and Whispering Woods Road.
Operation crews will be replacing “essential broadband equipment” in the area beginning at roughly 7 a.m. During this time both cable and internet services will be disrupted. The company did not provide a restoration time, but estimated the repairs would take “several hours.”
Areas affected include Beaver Creek Boat Ramp Road, Whispering Woods Road, Owensby Road, Lacefield Road, Coon Creek Road, Needmore Acres Road, Needmore School Road, Graham Road, Misty Moore Road, Rustling Ridge Road, Happy Hills Court, Beaver Mound Circle, Beaver Hollow Circle and Whistling Way.
Aaron Russell, communications director for the EPB, estimated the outage could affect around 200 customers.
