The National Weather Service in Louisville has placed Barren County in a flood watch until Feb. 12 at 6 a.m.
According to the weather service, Feb. 10 and 11 have a 100 percent chance of precipitation and the night of Feb. 11 experiencing a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible,” the watch states. “Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Monitor forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.”
To the north of Barren County is a winter weather advisory. Further north is a winter storm warning.
