A man was arrested Friday afternoon after a vehicle pursuit that spanned both Barren and Hart counties.
According to information released by the Cave City Police Department, officers chased a vehicle driven by Joseph Ridlehoover, 38, into Hart County after they discovered he had an “out-of-state warrant for burglary with full extradition.”
Several miles into Hart County, Ridlehoover stopped his vehicle and began to flee on foot, according to police after which officers were able to apprehend him.
Ridlehoover was arrested and transported to Barren County Detention Center on charges of speeding 17 mph over the limit, no registration receipt, no registration plate, failure to produce insurance card, operating on a suspended or revoked license, failure to wear seat belt, improper signaling, disregarding stop signs, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, reckless driving, failure to give oncoming vehicle half the highway, fleeing or evading police, and fugitive.
Cave City officers were assisted by Kentucky State Police, Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Horse Cave Police Department, and Munfordville Police Department.
