UPDATED: Many Barren County roads remain closed

Barren County roads are beginning to be reopened as the severe weather that brought roughly 9.8 inches of rain, according to the Kentucky Mesonet, makes its way out of the county.

Glasgow-Barren County Emergency Management Deputy Director Marcus Thurman reported that multiple county roads are back open.

  • Red Cross Road
  • Tracy Road
  • Coral Hill Lecta Road
  • Oil Well Road between Mansfield and Renato Road
  • Kingrey Road
  • Oak Ridge School Road
  • Jenny Road
  • Sexton Lane
  • Shives Road
  • Lecta Kino Road
  • Patton Road
  • Slick Rock Road
  • Whites Chapel Road
  • Siloam Road
  • Kino Eighty-Eight Road
  • Happy Hollow Road
  • Jim Glover Road
  • Rick Road

However, Thurman reported the following roads are still closed:

CLOSED with Signs

  • Oil Well Road @ bridge
  • Spencer Road (Hollow Road end)

Water Over Road – with Signs

  • Needmore School Road
  • Happy Landing Road
  • Girl Scout Road
  • Old Scottsville Loop 2 Road

Water Over Road – NO SIGNS

  • Payne Loop
  • Crabtree Road

Flooded Area’s – NO SIGNS

  • Bethel Church Road
  • Defeated Creek Road
  • Pendleton Road
  • Black Dot Road (2 places)
  • East Nobob
  • Slash Road
  • Beechtree Lane
  • Milburn Taylor Road @ Low Water Ford
  • Talley Road
  • Big Meadow Road
  • Howard Bull Road
  • Patterson Road
  • Millstown Road
  • Blaine Evans Road
