Glasgow resident Nathan Woodcock’s bond was increased to $1 million during his district court appearance on April 24.

The 27-year-old was arrested on April 23 by Glasgow police officers with the assistance from the Department of Homeland Security with information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on two counts of possession of materials “portray[ing] sexual performance by minor under 12 years of age.”

Appearing on Zoom from the Barren County Detention Center, Woodcock asked district judge Gabe Pendleton that his case be waived to a grand jury, which Pendleton agreed to.

Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Resa Gardner asked that Woodcock’s bond, which was $250,000, be increased — though, she did not ask for a specific increase — citing more serious forthcoming charges. Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt confirmed Woodcock was initially booked on the possession charges. A look at the Barren County Detention Center website showed an additional first-degree sodomy charge and an additional first-degree sexual abuse charge.

Pendleton agreed with Gardner and set his bond at $1 million.

Woodcock’s next court appearance won’t be determined until a Barren County grand jury returns his indictment.
