A Glasgow man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle on Saturday, June 28.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Kentucky State Police “just before 11 p.m.” regarding a fatal collision on Burkesville Road, near Green Valley Road, a state police press release stated.
“A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2017 Dodge was traveling eastbound on Burkesville Road in the left lane when it collided with Ricky Parsons, 59, of Glasgow, who was standing in the middle of the roadway,” the press release stated.
Parsons was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner.
The investigation is ongoing and will be led by state police Detective Bo Hubbard. He was assisted at the scene by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County EMS, the Barren County Coroner’s Office, and other KSP personnel.
